What is Joan about?

Based on the true story of Joan and her memoirs, this dazzling drama follows her escape from a violent husband and her heartbreaking decision to place her daughter in foster care to get back on her feet. Driven by a desire to create a safe home for her daughter, Debbie, Joan secures a job at a jeweller and makes a life-changing choice: stealing her first diamonds. As she's drawn into the world of crime, she meets charismatic antiques dealer Boisie (Frank Dillane), and quickly becomes swept into a world of crime!

Who’s in Joan?

Of course there's the wonderful Sophie Turner. Known for playing the strong and independent Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones, the leading lady has put aside her GOT fur coat for a more stylish leather jacket!

Starring alongside Turner is:

  • Frank Dillane (Harry Potter) hitting our screens as Joan's partner in crime, London antiques dealer Boisie.
  • Kirsty J Curtis (Harlots) will play Joan’s older sister and salon worker, Nancy.
  • Gershwyn Eustache Jnr (Britania) will play Albie, an old acquaintance of Boisie.
  • Laura Aikman (Gavin & Stacey) as Albies wife Val.

Where can I watch Joan?
