How can I find great live and on demand shows to watch?
With so much choice out there, we know it can be a little tricky to work out what to watch.. Never fear, we’ve banished TV overwhelm with some cracking features that will mean you spend less time scrolling, more time watching 10/10 TV.
TV Guide
The TV Guide is your go-to for all things related to live TV and upcoming shows.
Simply press the Guide button on your remote (it can also be called EPG for Electronic Program Guide, or represented by a box with two horizontal lines inside). You can also get to the TV Guide from the Freely home screen through the menu options at the top of the screen.

MiniGuide
If you're watching live TV, you can get to the MiniGuide at any time by pressing OK on your remote or any of the arrow keys.
The MiniGuide allows you to view info and access more episodes of the show you're watching.
To the left of the MiniGuide, you'll find what’s on next.
From the MiniGuide, you can also toggle on subtitles and audio description. Look out for the S and AD symbols to toggle on subtitles and audio description.

Browse
From the menu at the top of the TV Guide, pick Browse to see what’s currently airing on the Live TV carousel. From here just select the programme you want to watch and press OK.
How to find something to watch on demand
Again, get to the TV Guide where you can find what’s coming up over the next seven days.
Select Browse from the menu at the top of the TV Guide.
Scroll down to see our top picks for the best shows and box sets to watch on demand.
To help you find what you’re looking for quickly, you’ll also find featured shows and content categorised by channel and genre. These include:
- Movies
- Drama
- Factual
- Comedy
- Kids
